Wikipediavision was launched in December 2007 and shows an (almost) real-time geographical view of the anonymous edits of Wikipedia. It has been visited more than 1.5 million times and has been reviewed on National Public Radio, The Atlantic, O'Reilly Radar, Wired online, Libération, Chip.de, New Scientist, and hundreds of other news sources and blogs. For a period of 5 months in 2009 it was on display in the Museum for Communication in Bern, Switzerland. Wikipediavision tracks the English, German, French, Spanish, Swedish language versions of Wikipedia and has a steady stream of visitors speaking these languages, who are interested in education, culture, entertainment and online media.
